Change Is Here, Officially!

I've just finished watching Barack Obama be the 44th man to take the Presidential Oath. He now is officially THE MAN to turn around America and re-affirm our nation's greatness.

He's got a lot of things to accomplish in America to bring the change he has promised. The economic, housing, energy and school crises that are gripping the country now, are and will be, his biggest challenges. He has the opportunity to become the greatest President in our history.

A black man in office, how fitting on the day after we celebrated one of the most influential individuals. Ever. Regardless of race.

I was watching ESPN this morning and Harrison Dillard, an individual whom I was super excited to meet in Beijing, was featured and interviewed during a segment. To hear our older legends speak about today's events is something else. He said what a lot of older blacks say, that he never thought he would live to see a black man in office, now that's happened. Barack epitomizes his slogan of "Change, Progress and Hope".

By the way, he's left handed too, just like me. He will do great!

Godspeed President Obama. God bless America.

"Change, Progress, and Hope" are words that will forever be linked to the dates of November 4, 2008 and January 20, 2009. Two special days in USA history that we all will remember for the rest of our lives. I must add healthcare and everything associated with healthcare and insurance and disabilty issues with healthcare as a big issue that must change for the better in the next 4 years. I have been going through the disability issue which has been a disaster and nightmare for me and so many others ( especially true for so many of us with dystonia), and believe me I have been in court recently fighting for my rights with my dystonia condition which as you know David, has been so tough on me and my life. I will keep fighting and we all need President Obama to help get the government to get a clue and get with the program!!!!
I thought Obama's speech was fantastic today. He is certainly a gifted speaker. He can talk the talk and now it is time to deliver the USA to #1 world supremacy again and walk the walk. O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA, O-BA-MA!!!!
I would also like to say congrats to the North Allegheny High School Band for being chosen for the inauguration parade, and representing the Pittsburgh metro area in their black and gold. Oh, how so awesome and fitting with the black and gold of my Pittsburgh Steelers going to the Super Bowl. Here we go Steelers, here we go!!!! North Allegheny High School was my rival high school growing up in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. Even rivals of one another are coming together on this special Super Bowl of all Presidential inaugurations on this day. We were rival next door neighbors in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. I am a proud alum of North Hills High School and proud alum of the pride, tradition and excellance of the North Hills High School Band. The North Hills High School Band was chosen to be at the 2001 inauguration parade. It is extremely difficult with so many band applicants and an incredible honor for a band to be chosen for the inauguration parade, and to have 2 neighboring high schools be chosen in 2 of the last 3 President inaugurations is just incredible. It certainly makes me proud of my hometown North Hills of Pittsburgh!!!!

Hey David,

Left handed people are the greatest. My Grand-mother, my DAD,
my son, and you (LOL). I'm so tried, I watched the hole thing and I haven't slept. It was so
exciting and something that I will never forget. I know Martin
is looking down on us saying "I told you". To think that I lived
through two exciting events, first
Martin, and now Obama, doesn't get
any better than this. I'm still praying for you and your friends
family.
