Been Gone Eight Long Years.....

And not one day passes where you don't cross my mind.

R. Kelly's I Wish song came on while on my way home from practice, that song always has a special meaning to me. The first time I had heard it was on my way from the airport back to my dorm after returning to D.C. from his funeral.

I know you're in a better place
Even though I can't see your face
I know you're smiling down on me
Saying everything's okay

I finally have enough energy to respond with my comments. I have not been feeling well this week. It has been a while since I had conesecutive days in a row of feeling like crap! It sucks, but I understand it is reality for me! I had such a great stretch of feeling pretty good for me and I am very thankful and took advantage of every moment! Hopefully I will have a good weekend, and feel good enough to go out! Everytime I have so many good things happen to me, and when I do so many good things for the people I care about and love, the devil does his best to attack me! It has been happening all my life! The devil has been attacking me like crazy recently with bad things happening to me. In the end, my faith in God and prayer always WINS, and stomps that stinkin devil directly into the ground!!!!

I'm so sorry that you have to go through these difficult days of what happened to your friend 8 long years ago! I know that he is your very special angel in heaven looking out for you. I went back and read your blog about Drew from last year. It got me so emotional! You are such a great friend to care about him so much and always remember him with this tribute to him in your blog. This blog is great therapy for you, and such great therapy for me, like I have told you ao many times before. I will never be able to thank you enough for allowing me to share all my feelings, good and bad, and all my humor on your blog! You are my younger idol and hero! That song "I Wish" was a sign from your friend that he is with you always and forever! Andrew is your #1 Angel! He has the first 2 letters AN in Andrew for which I believe stands for ANgel! This time of April has tough memories for me because my older idol and hero, Rick, who will have died 10 long years ago on April 20 is coming up!
I have Rick's mom, Sally, reading your blog now, too! I have much more to tell you about this whole situation in a personal e-mail that I am going to send to your yahoo address. I hope you get this e-mail and read all of it! My high school band director died of cancer 2 years ago on April 20! He had such a big impact on my life! 2 people who have had a big impact on my life died on April 20! I will explain in my e-mail how it all relates together and a band concert I had at Penn State on April 20, 1995 that I was so sick and somehow still played at this outdoor concert on a cool, damp, and cloudy day! It is all so unbelievable how it is all linked together all these years later!

I will explain in that e-mail how it links you and I together as well! I can tell you this, David, all of our special angels in heaven brought you and I together for a reason. I know how you and your blog always get me through my bad days and tough times. Even when I have no energy to comment, I am still reading and thinking about you, and praying with you and for you! God Bless You David for this because like I always say you are my Big King David Lifesaver!

Now to the uniform situation. I do NOT like the orange color uniforms! What is Nike thinking! What happened to the beautiful blue uniforms!

Of course you can wear any color uniforms, and look good in the uniform. I just do not like orange colored uniforms. What happened to the blue uniforms!

I have a question for you David? Why do you prefer the singlet and shorts instead of the bodysuits?

You are 1 of the few people that wear the singlet and shorts instead of the bodysuit.
I sure hope you are wearing your white shoes with the read bottoms of the shoe!

I know you can do well in this race and improve your time over the past 2 years at this event, and of course win the race in this last tuneup race before the real outdoor season begins!

Again look for my e-mail to you in the upcoming days on your yahoo e-mail address! Probably April 20! That is the bottom line because me and Faith in God Coach E said so!!!!
