Heck yeah I was nervous at the beginning, I just got up there and talked I had no idea what I was going to say until I got up there. I got more comfortable as I went along though.

Hey David,

I'm so proud of you. You looked
so nervous, but that just made you
look more handsome (smile). I hope
by the time Justin goes to college that you'll have a building named after you.

Its been a min. since I have left a comment on your blog, my right wrist has been jacked up so I can't type as often as I would like. I have to give it up to you for getting up and giving a speech infront of all of those people. I have stage freight, and you couldn't pay me to get up on a stage lol.

Even though you were nervous, you gave an excellent acceptance speech.

I remember going to convocation twice back in the day. Thanks to the School of B. Boring as hell. I stared at the back of a toupee for an hour. Would have been nice to have something pretty to look at-like you!

..Oh yeah, the speech was nice too! LOL!

This video is awesome. I love this video. I love this video. Yes, I love this video! Did I mention that I love this video? You looked so excited and nervous at the same time like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for his gifts under the Christmas Tree. You definately got more comfortable as you went on and that was absolute brilliance when you got the "name a building after me" comment. The David Oliver Building does have a great ring to it. When I was at Penn State, most of our weather classes and The Penn State Campus Weather Service were at the Eric Walker Building. Since I spent so much time in that building, I think they should rename that building the Eric Jansen building after me. When I first was on the PSU campus, I was living in East Halls at the time which is about a mile walk to the Walker Building and I would leave my dorm at 4:15 AM in the morning to go to my campus weather shift that started at 5:00 AM to make it on time. It was not easy to do that walk on those cold State College mornings. So, I think because of my dedication, they should rename that building after me. Luckily for the remaining semesters, I moved to West Halls and a short walk to the Eric Jansen Building. Oh, I mean Eric Walker Building. Whatever! I need to here those old stories of yours in Drew Hall. When I got to West Halls, I lived in Hamilton Hall at first and then Watts Hall. I could write a book about my experiences in Hamilton Hall. My friends and I used to laugh about the jail cell doors in Hamilton Hall and my dorm room was a long way from the bathroom, but the sound in there traveled so far that it sounded like I was right next to the bathroom when the toilets flushed. It was so funny. Are you laughing yet? Yes, I loved your laugh in this video, too. You do have a great laugh and I hope you have had some great laughs from my funny stories and sweet sarcasm from all my past and present comments. So, you are Mr. Wonderful, Mr. Perfect 10, and King David, how long can it be until you are Dr.David Oliver. It all sounds good to me my friend!!!! LOL
