Zurich Post-Audit

I went out and did what I set out to do. I did a pretty good job of getting my lead leg down and staying tight throughout the race.

I ended up running very well, but lost the race by one hundredth of a second in the long run. 12.97 for Robles, 12.98 for myself.

110 Hurdles (+0.3)
1) Robles 12.97
2) D.O. 12.98
3) Noga 13.37
4) Merritt 13.41
5) Svoboda 13.48
6) Yo-El 13.55
7) Phillips 13.60
8) Van der Westen 13.68
9) Moore DNF

I really thought that I had a chance to pull of the win, but I floated the first hurdle and was playing catch up the entire race, which I did a good job of. I haven't seen the race yet, but I will watch it on the Slingbox tomorrow. I am happy with my performance this evening, but not satisfied.

On another note, my good friend Anwar Moore went down with what seems to be a season ending quad injury. That is very unfortunate and I really wish him a speedy recovery so we can get back to running fast again next season.

I'm off to Lausanne, Switzerland tomorrow morning. Robles and I will have another face off there. This is the track where Liu Xiang ran the World Record and Dominique Arnold ran the American Record here in 2006, will there be a possible repeat? Who knows.

David,

Congrats on an excellent race. God has great plans for you just striving and I am sure you will reach your goal of 12.85 and maybe even better.

By the way if someone wanted to catch a meet of yours in person how could we go about doing that

Just saw the race, you should see the look on his face. lol I don't think he expects people to be close to him sometimes.

I just saw your race. You were right at Robles' side to the very end. I think you made him nervous--LOL! 12.98 is fantastic!

I pray Moore has a speedy recovery. It was difficult to watch him miss the 1st hurdle, then find out he sustained a serious injury. Did that distract you during the race? Your first hurdle was light, but then you went all out and finished extremely strong! Great job!!

Is the Memorial Van Damme also on your "To Do" list? Rest up and reach for your 12.85 goal in Lausanne. Go for what you know!

You've only just begun. As you continue to get your lead leg down, you'll be one step closer to 12.85. Forgive my selfish moment, but when will you venture back to the sunshine state?

Hey, I caught the race earlier as well. You definitely accomplished what you set out to do. Robles did look a bit surprised (for whatever reason) that you were pushing him all the way to the finish. The race in and of itself was amazing and the commentators had great things to say about you. I'm confident you'll tag him next time. Best wishes in the next one!

What was the last EJDickey book you’ve had time to read?
I know this is not one of the typical questions the ladies ask you,
But I’m curious, as always much love and respect.
